Game Night Movie Overview

  • "Game Night," about game-loving partiers who get drawn into a web of danger, is a raucously funny film that has a knack for going right up to the edge of nastiness.

  • Audience Reviews for Game Night. ... Following a group of friends who gather together for a night of board games and charades once a week, they're in a state of shock when an old friend and ...

  • Daley and Goldstein also smartly, and impressively, film Game Night like a thriller instead of a comedy. The moody lighting and intense camera angles are the stuff David Fincher movies are made of.

  • His latest effort, the cryptically titled Game Night (you’ll never guess), posits him in familiar territory. He plays Max, one half of an uber-competitive couple with wife Annie (Rachel McAdams).

  • Game Night is a comedy about, well, a group of friends who like to get together for game nights. But when one of the main character's brother comes into town and hosts a murder mystery game night at his house, things get crazy.

  • In Game Night, writer Mark Perez and directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have crafted a tightly structured story with little visual tricks that turn out to be significant. That said, the movie really lives and dies by its cast, and this is a top-notch ensemble.

  • Review: ‘Game Night’ Has a Winning Rachel McAdams and Charades With a Twist. Image. Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams in the darkly comic “Game Night.” ...

  • The rest of Game Night unfolds as a frantic series of run-ins, chases, fights and gags. A few are executed with flair: One set piece, filmed in a swooping, swerving continuous shot, finds the ...

  • Game Night is Hollywood comedy filmmaking done right and by avoiding the problems that have faced its recent cohorts (overlong running times, unnecessary vulgarity, annoying characters); Game Night becomes a highly recommendable night out at the movies.

  • Game Night is the exception. It is filled with nonstop laughs. The entire theater laughed throughout the movie. The actors are excellent, especially the always funny Jason Bateman. Rachel McAdams is hilarious. Great chemistry with all of the actors. Great plot. If you are looking for a funny movie see Game Night.
