  • Audience Reviews for Lady and the Tramp. Lady and the Tramp is a good, solid, charming slice of fun which deserves some of its status as a Disney classic. It has none of the depth or staying power of the company's fairy tale ventures, and is hardly the most ambitious or ground-breaking love story committed to film.

  • In LADY AND THE TRAMP, Lady is a pampered cocker spaniel of a couple she knows as "Jim Dear" and "Darling.". When Lady's owners have a baby, Lady is apprehensive, but Jim Dear and Darling assure her that she's still important to them. The couple goes away, and Aunt Sarah arrives, with her nasty Siamese cats, to care for the baby.

  • Disney's first CinemaScope cartoon, Lady and the Tramp cost $4,000,000 and took three years to complete, but it grossed over $25,000,000, making more money than any other film from the 1950s except THE TEN COMMANDMENTS and BEN-HUR. Read full review

  • With Lady And The Tramp, Walt Disney slid his toe into the waters of "real life" but, strangely, has rarely returned since. After movies such as Snow White, Pinnochio and Peter Pan, here was a story set in the everyday world - albeit with talking animals - with a hip, beatnik gang of strays and the sensual crooning of Peggy Lee.

  • Lady And The Tramp carries a life-affirming message for the lonely: even dogs can fall in love. Romance doggy style, beautifully drawn by the best animators Disney could muster in 1955, and a true ...

  • Lady and the Tramp as we all know is the story of lady who lives with a refined high class family and the Tramp who is a stray. If you own a dog, I think you would appreciate this movie, I was noticing the Tramp's facial expressions and movements and while yes it's an animated cartoon they were life like.

  • User Reviews. Lady and the Tramp is about love and sacrifice, bringing together a posh female dog with a homeless stray, who is sexy in his own right. Also included are the memorable Siamese trouble-making cats (Peggy Lee) and the wonderful candle-lit scene where are lovable heros enjoy spaghetti.

  • While Lady and the Tramp may not rank as one of Disney's greatest animated works, it still makes for a charming experience thanks to its memorable and entertaining characters, gorgeous animation ...

  • Review by James Reader Lady is a pampered cocker spaniel, who due to the scheme of two cruel Siamese cats finds herself muzzled. After running away she meets Tramp, a self-assured stray dog, who obviously comes from the "wrong side of the tracks".

  • Lady and the Tramp Blu-ray delivers truly amazing video and audio in this excellent Blu-ray release A cute, classy "Lady" cocker spaniel escapes from her confining owner and falls for an alley dog ...
