  • Overall Speed 2:Cruise Control 1997 was a desperate attempt by the filmmakers even Sandra Bullock later regretted it on being part of this film my rating for this is 2/10.its a lame sequel to the best film ever made watch speed 1994 again anytime guys but Skipp this it is not worth the time or money.

  • Fun fact, both Speed 1 &2 came out a year before me and my brother were born. Speed came out in1994, and my brother was born in 1995, and Speed 2: Cruise Control came out in 1997, and I was born in 1998 ! Isn't that an amazing fun fact ! All in all I give Speed 2: Cruise Control 4/5 stars. Good movieHold on to your life jackets !

  • Audience Reviews for Speed 2 - Cruise Control 'Die Hard on a bus' and now...yep you guessed it 'Die Hard on a boat', well cruise liner. ... You can't franchise Speed in cruise control, no sperm in ...

  • Speed 2 is the kind of film that demands a strong opponent, but Geiger isn't it. Meanwhile, there are a few interesting cameos: Tim Conway and Bo Svenson have small parts, and Speed veterans Joe Morton and Glenn Plummer are on hand for a couple of scenes. Watching Speed 2, I felt embarrassed for everyone involved.

  • All of these pleasures, and more, are in "Speed 2: Cruise Control,'' which is a sequel to "Speed" in name only--since even the basic premise is different. In the first movie, if the bus stopped, everyone would get killed. In this one, if the ocean liner doesn't stop, everyone will get killed. It's a small twist, I grant you, but a decisive one.

  • Speed 2: Cruise Control is awful…and surprisingly, both Ebert and Siskel liked it! The movie highly touts that they were two of the only critics to give the film a positive review. Speed 2: Cruise Control fortunately ended the series but also soured Speed a bit.

  • Speed 2's a test of patience. Obviously, it's a bigger budget rehash of the "cop + Sandy + quick-moving vehicle + cackly villain" formula that worked so damn well for the first outing. So when a ...

  • Speed 2 is a well-above-average armrest-gripper with little in it to upset the children excepting, perhaps, Dafoe's lengthy white teeth, and the fact that UB40 provide onboard cabaret. Read full review
