  • Julia Roberts and Clive Owen generate fierce electricity in "Duplicity," but we (and they) don't know if it's romantic or wicked. They're Claire and Ray, government spies (she CIA, he MI6) who meet on assignment in Dubai; she sleeps with him, then steals his secret documents. They both enter the private sector, working for the counterespionage departments of competing shampoo giants.

  • Duplicity is an enormously enjoyable hybrid, a romantic comedy set at the center of a caper movie. Mar 23, 2009 | Full Review…

  • a quick review of Duplicity ashleybmeyer 25 March 2009 I don't watch many crime thrillers, because they usually turn out to be not remotely believable or personal, but Duplicity was a pleasant departure from the stereotype.

  • Duplicity is the flip side of writer/director Gilroy's somber Michael Clayton - a charming, adult corporate-espionage comedy that takes place in the high-stakes world of personal hygiene products. This is a throwback movie in the style of How is this film so misunderstood? It's brilliant.

  • Clever, complex romantic thriller is too twisty for tweens. Read Common Sense Media's Duplicity review, age rating, and parents guide. Clever, complex romantic thriller is too twisty for tweens. • Duplicity is a shrewdly crafted caper flick aimed at viewers willing to spend two hours navigating an intricate web of deceit. In addition to keeping the players straight and gauging the true agenda of each character, audiences are challenged by a fractured timeline as action gives way to flashbacks that eventually intersect with the present.

  • "Duplicity" is a movie about corporate espionage, layered with what the viewer believes are double-crosses between two amorously involved spies. The story is told in flashbacks and thus is quite difficult to follow.

  • Duplicity is a tautly plotted thriller that had me hoping and praying that the events of the novel would never take place in real life! The action starts from page one and doesn't let go as events from across the world collide with the political posturing taking place during a race for presidency.

  • For more of my reviews, follow my blog at https://theblondelikesbooks.wordpress... Newleyweds Max and Alissa live a happy life together, until one night Max is murdered and Alissa narrowly escapes. Duplicity switches point of views between "The Other One" and "The Detective" as the search for Max's killer begins.
