  • Audience Reviews for The Burning ½ A 1980s slasher that manages to be efficient despite looking so trashy (there are scenes we can't even say if they are meant to take place during day or night), deserving more credit for its gore (especially in an infamous raft scene) than for being less brainless than Friday the 13th.

  • The Burning does run a bit slow, and the particularly nasty murder of a prostitute early in the movie seems tacked on to tide gore fans over for the 40 minutes of summer camp antics that follow, since it makes absolutely no sense in the scope of the plot.

  • The Burning is definitely one of the better movies in the slasher genre and hey, nothing passes the time like a good ol cheesy slasher flick? This film is definitely worth a watch.

  • Cannes Film Review: 'Burning' Reviewed at Cannes Film Festival (competing), May 16, 2018. Running time: 148 MIN. (Original title: “Beoning”) Production: (S. Korea) A Pinehouse Film presentation, in association with CGV Arthouse, KTH, Kiwi Media Group Co., B.A. Entertainment, of a Pinehouse Film, Nowfilm production, in association with NHK.

  • Slasher Movie review: The Burning. Directed by Tony Maylam. Starring Brian Matthews, Leah Ayres, Brian Backer, Larry Joshua, Jason Alexander.

  • In the end, The Burning was a quick cash-in on the slasher craze of the 80's. It's still a slasher regardless and with any older slasher there is a lot of nudity and gore on hand that will provide some good solid fun.

  • A review of The Burning by Urn, available July 28th worldwide via Iron Bonehead Productions.

  • 'The Burning Shores' book is a must-read for anyone who wants to catch up on what's been going on Libya since the fall of Qadafi.
