Annabelle Movie Overview

John Form has found the perfect gift for his expectant wife, Mia - a beautiful, rare vintage doll in a pure white wedding dress. But Mia's delight with Annabelle doesn't last long. On one horrific night, their home is invaded by members of a satanic cult, who violently attack the couple. Spilled blood and terror are not all they leave behind. The cultists have conjured an entity so malevolent that nothing they did will compare to the sinister conduit to the damned that is now... Annabelle.

  • Annabelle: Creation review – same old devil doll, same old cliches 1 / 5 stars 1 out of 5 stars. This dull, silly prequel to the prequel to The Conjuring stars Anthony LaPaglia as a doll-maker in a haunted orphanage

  • Annabelle: Creation screened at the LA Film Festival. This is an advance review ahead of the movie's August release. This is an advance review ahead of the movie's August release. Annabelle: Creation is a marked improvement over its 2014 predecessor, Annabelle.

  • I can't believe this is the review I'm writing for this film, but Annabelle: Creation is awesome. After the huge disappointment that was the first Annabelle, I had no intention on seeing this second instalment, until it's trailers intrigued me and had me slightly interested.

  • While the title makes clear that this is an origin story for one of the creepiest dolls in film history, it also sets up its own characters and universe in which to play, one that echoes the construction and themes from James Wan’s original film more than any of the works that have followed. Just ...

  • Audience Reviews for Annabelle ½ Although The Conjuring had a great sequel to follow it, the premise itself seemed like lightning in a bottle, but like any successful film these days, spinoffs and sequels are inevitable, due to the fact that studios are just money-hungry conglomerates.

  • Annabelle: Creation, is the latest film from The Conjuring franchise. It tells the story behind the creepy doll from previous movies. The movie, in my opinion, is not as good as people and critics are saying, but not as bad as the first Annabelle movie.
