  • Movie Info. In the 3D action-comedy The Green Hornet, Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) is the son of LA's most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene - until his father (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire.

  • User Reviews. The Lone Ranger with an Indian back in the old west, and when the Green Hornet premiered in the 1940's it was unheard of for an oriental sidekick. In the old west everyone thought the Lone Ranger was bad because he wore a mask. The Green Hornet purposely wanted people to think he was bad.

  • A retro redux of a 1930s radio series (itself revived on ’60s TV with Bruce Lee), The Green Hornet is, as you’d expect from Michel Gondry, no conventional caped crusade.

  • The Green Hornet is one of the infamous "3D conversions" that studios have been pumping out of late. One of , if not the best 3D conversions available is 'Alice', and well I have to say that this conversion to 3D is not near as good as Alice was done.

  • But there the comparisons end. In terms of energy, verve, wit and genuinely exciting action sequences, the Green Hornet — oh, go on then — simply doesn’t have a sting.

  • The Green Hornet movie reviews & Metacritic score: Britt Reid, son and heir to Los Angeles' largest newspaper fortune, is a rich, spoiled playboy who has bee...

  • Perhaps some superheroes are better left a product of their time, because much like Dick Tracy and The Shadow in the 1990s, The Green Hornet plays more like a quaint relic of a bygone era than a ...

  • The Green Hornet – review. For this pumped-up movie version, Rogen's Britt Reid is the wastrel son of an LA newspaper proprietor, played by Tom Wilkinson. He lives a dissolute bachelor existence not dissimilar from the one Rogen was having as a single guy in Knocked Up, only with much more money, and far fewer funny lines.

  • The Green Hornet, even in its previous guises, has always struggled a little to balance its comedy with its action and drama, and the screenplay here fails to convincingly tackle the obstacle. It ...

  • The Green Hornet Reviews. For what problems it does have it is a genuinely different take on this kind of material with a firm focus on action, character and humor. No one else should ever attempt to make a superhero movie quite like this, but for The Green Hornet it works. Seeing this movie in 3-D adds nothing to the experience.
