  • In the 3D action-comedy The Green Hornet, Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) is the son of LA's most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene - until his father (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire.

  • From reading reviews on what is available on DVD from the Green Hornet, I decided on this DVD. I figured the the quality wouldn't be that great, but just to see the old Green Hornet TV series would be a thrill(it was one of my favorite shows), and the documentary on the Black Beauty would be a nice added feature.

  • "The Green Hornet" is an almost unendurable demonstration of a movie with nothing to be about. Although it follows the rough storyline of previous versions of the title, it neglects the construction of a plot engine to pull us through.

  • The Green Hornet started life as a 1930s radio serial and then a Universal movie serial and a 60s TV show, recounting the adventures of newspaper mogul and masked crime-fighter Britt Reid, and his trusty sidekick Kato – on TV, this part was played by Bruce Lee, a faintly uncool debut for the martial- arts legend.

  • "The Green Hornet" is a wanna be superhero movie trying to be original by following the scheme of Seth Rogan's character Britt Reid to become a superhero that is perceived as a criminal to the public.

  • But there the comparisons end. In terms of energy, verve, wit and genuinely exciting action sequences, the Green Hornet — oh, go on then — simply doesn’t have a sting. High hopes of magic from the Gondry-Rogen pairing are dashed. Some neat touches aside, this isn t so much eternal sunshine, more superbad.

  • Review: Seth Rogan and Asian superstar Jay Chou star in The Green Hornet, a sometimes funny, mostly unoriginal, and wholly forgettable film.

  • The Green Hornet is a fun action-comedy and clever superhero satire that's about as close to a cool summer movie as you're going to get in the dead of winter.
