Three American brothers who have not spoken to each other in a year set off on a train voyage across India with a plan to find themselves and bond with each other -- to become brothers again like they used to be. • The Darjeeling Limited isn't Wes Anderson's best, but it shows he is trying his best.

  • Three brothers in crisis meet in India and in desperation, in "The Darjeeling Limited," a movie that meanders so persuasively it gets us meandering right along. It's the new film by Wes Anderson, who after "Rushmore" and "The Royal Tenenbaums" made "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou".

  • A film that deals with the relationships of brothers, and of course as all Wes Anderson movies do, with dads, The Darjeeling Limited is a literal and figurative journey for the Whitman brothers struggling to deal with the death of their father.

  • The Darjeeling Limited is the work of a director who has found his groove (or in this case, his track) and doesn't show signs of trying to get out of it. As a result, not much of it really feels surprising.

  • 'The Darjeeling Limited' reveals why Seinfeld never could work as a movie. The reality is Wes Anderson's latest movies rolls along with a lifeless rhythm, at times trying to be funny, but none-the-less accomplishing nothing in its story of three brothers trying to reconnect 'The Darjeeling Limited' reveals why Seinfeld never could work as a movie.

  • “The Darjeeling Limited” is an overstuffed suitcase. “Hotel Chevalier” is a small gem. “The Darjeeling Limited” is rated R (Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian) for sex, drug use and profanity. THE DARJEELING LIMITED. Tonight as the opening-night feature of the New York Film Festival; in two New York theaters tomorrow.
