  • Acts of Violence. Yes, this is another one of those anonymous action movies that he has been specializing in as of late—the kind that turn up in a couple of theaters and on VOD with virtually no advance word and featuring listless performances by him that, based on the available evidence, were apparently shot in no more than four or five days,...

  • Audience Reviews for Acts of Violence. An enjoyable enough action movie, especially considering it has Bruce Willis, who hasn't been in many good films recently. It's fresh enough to avoid the usual clichés, even if the ending is rushed. Good enough.

  • "Acts of Violence" suffers from a really poorly written script that relies heavily on tropes and plot devices borrowed from other films, including "Taken" and "Casino Royale." The villains are into everything, kidnapping, human trafficking, prostitution and drugs, including selling narcotics intended for use on rhinos.

  • Bruce Willis and Cole Hauser star in Brett Donowho's action thriller about three brothers who take the law into their own hands when a member of their family is abducted. The latest example features the iconic star of Die Hard and its numerous sequels in a rote thriller indistinguishable from the countless others he's cranked out in recent years. Receiving a limited theatrical release to elevate its standing on VOD listings, Acts of Violence evaporates from your mind while you're watching it.

  • Acts of Violence is, simply, a full-throated, empty-brained endorsement of vigilanteism. In Acts ' view, the police are too weak and stupid to, say, question witnesses (they don't -- in fact, they don't do anything resembling police work, apart from arresting the "good guys").

  • Acts of Violence (2018) Review. Eoin. March 14, 2018. Movie Reviews, Reviews. Verdict 2.5. Summary. ... Overall, Acts of Violence isn’t remotely original but I’m a big fan of Cole Hauser and it does get quite tense at times with a nasty villain and a rather downbeat ending.

  • Review: ‘Acts of Violence’ Delivers What Its Title Promises Image From left, Ashton Holmes, Cole Hauser and Shawn Ashmore in “Acts of Violence,” a film directed by Brett Donowho.

  • The title Acts of Violence has less to do with the storyline of the movie it graces and more about what’s perpetrated against the audience watching it. Read full review 30

  • And whilst that – in good ways and bad – often leaves Acts Of Violence feeling like it wants to go back home to the late 1980s, it is the reasonably enjoyable brain-light movie it suggests it is.
