  • "Superbad" is a four-letter raunch-a-rama with a heart, and an inordinate interest in other key organs. It is autobiographical, I suspect, inspired not just by the lives of co-writers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who named the two leads after themselves, but possibly by millions of other teenagers.

  • Superbad is one of the funniest movies to be released in the past decade. I've heard a lot of people (teenage girls in particular) say that Mean Girls is the best high school movie ever made, but ...

  • Summary: Superbad is a coming-of-age cautionary tale about two socially inept teenage boys about to graduate high school. Theirs is a ridiculously dependent friendship--but now they've gotten into different colleges and are forced to contemplate life apart.

  • 'Superbad', if there is a God, will be forgotten by Christmas. Amen to that. Avoid this prurient rubbish at all costs, unless you have a mental age of 10, in which case 'Superbad' is the mothership.

  • The underlying message could seem to be that scoring alcohol for a party will grant even the nerdiest kid "cool" status for a night. But by the end of the film, it's clear that the film's real point is that true best friends love each other unconditionally, not selfishly.

  • In some ways, Superbad is the prequel to Knocked Up: it shows what the slacker nerds were like in high school: ie exactly the same. The lead character, fat and frizzy-haired Seth, is nakedly ...

  • Superbad is a movie about partying and getting wasted and getting the girl, but as the night wears on, much wisdom is gained too, about self, friendship and the end of teenage innocence in all its ...
