  • Hellbound Hellraiser II Review ... many of those details that Clive couldn't fit into the first movie spilled over into Hellbound: Hellraiser II. Unfortunately though, despite coming out only one ...

  • Give or take a detail or two, that's the story. "Hellbound: Hellraiser II" is like some kind of avant-garde film strip in which there is no beginning, no middle, no end, but simply a series of gruesome images that can be watched in any order.

  • "Hellbound: Hellraiser II" of 1988 is an almost perfect sequel to one of the most effective and terrifying achievements ever in Horror cinema, Clive Barker's 1987 masterpiece "Hellraiser".

  • This was the first Hellraiser movie I saw back in the '80s and it remains my favorite. There is more character development of Pinhead than in the first movie: we learn that he was once a WWI British officer who got snared into the box's domain.

  • Picking up a mere two hours after HELLRAISER left off, the sequel finds young Laurence in a mental hospital in the aftermath of the horrific events she witnessed at the first film's climax.
