  • The book of life contains all the stories of the world and one such tale revolves around a small town in Mexico (year unknown but I'm guessing its in the past) on the Day of the Dead.

  • Parents need to know that The Book of Life is a refreshingly original animated film that takes viewers to the underworld and back. Smaller children might find the scenes in the Land of the Remembered scary, especially those featuring the king of the underworld, Xibalba (who's named after the Mayan name for the realm of the dead).

  • The "Book of Life" is a story of, well, just like the title The Book of Life. However, it goes a little deeper than simply stating all things are living and have their own story. All things have "Life" because we provide love and everything that comes with it.

  • “The Book of Life” bedazzles your eyes and buoys your spirits as it treads upon themes most commonly associated with the macabre universe of Tim Burton. • The Book of Life brims with sensuality, intrigue, violence and much-welcome humor.” —Los Angeles Times “Secrets and mysteries are finally revealed in the entertaining and satisfying conclusion. . . .

  • The Book of Life is one of the most glorious-looking animated movies in recent memory, chock full of vibrant imagery, wit, and nifty song choices. While its story may be by the numbers, it still ...

  • The visuals outshine the story in "The Book of Life," a lively animated tale mixing age-old myths with today's toon tropes. ‘The Book of Life’ Review: A Visual Treat – Variety The visuals outshine the story in “The Book of Life,” a lively animated tale mixing age-old myths with today’s toon tropes.

  • The book ends with peace and joy and hope in the future. WORTH MENTIONING: This book returns to the interesting combination of magic and science that was the hallmark of the first book in the series. CONNECTED BOOKS: THE BOOK OF LIFE is the final book in the All Souls Trilogy. This book is meant to be read as part of the trilogy.
